Future Continuous Tense কাকে বলে?
ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত চলতে থাকবে এমন বুঝাতে যে Tense ব্যবহার করা হয়, তাকেই Future Continuous Tense বলে।
Future Continuous Tense indicates an action that will happen in the future and continue for a certain amount of time).
Example:
- He will be reading the book – সে বইটি পড়িতে থাকিবে।
- They will be doing the work – তারা কাজটি করিতে থাকিবে।
- I will be waiting for you- আমি তোমার জন্য অপেক্ষা করিতে থাকিবো।
Structure of the sentence:
Positive sentence:
Subject+ will+ be+ simple form of verb-ing + অন্যান্য words (যদি থাকে)।
Example:
- I will be writing a letter.
- They will be singing at the party.
- He will be coming here tomorrow.
Negative sentence:
Subject+ will not/ won’t + be+ simple form of verb- ing + অন্যান্য words (যদি থাকে)।
Example:
- I will not be writing a letter.
- They will be singing at the party.
- He will be coming here tomorrow.
Note: Will not-এর short form হচ্ছে ’won’t’. তাই Will not-এর স্থলে ’won’t’ লেখা যায়। যেমন:
- He will not be going to school.
- He won’t be going to school.
Interrogative sentence:
Will+ Subject+ be+ simple form of verb-ing+অন্যান্য words (যদি থাকে)। +note of interrogation (?)
Example:
- I will be writing a letter.
- They will be singing at the party.
- He will be coming here tomorrow.
Note: এই tense-এ শুধু Dynamic বা Action verb ব্যবহৃত হয়। Stative verb-কে এই tense-এ ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
Future Continuous Tense-কে ’be going to’ দ্বারা প্রকাশ করা যায়।
Example:
- Are you going to be waiting for me tonight? – তুমি কি আজ রাতে আমার জন্য অপেক্ষা করতে থাকবে?
- Are they going to be appearing at the SSC Examination? – তারা কি এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় উপস্থিত হতে চলেছে?
- Today at 8 PM, I am going to be eating dinner. – আজ রাত আট টায় আমি রাতের খাবার খেতে চলেছি।
- He is going to be celebrating his birthday. – সে তার জন্মদিন উদযাপন করতে যাচ্ছে।
Future Continuous Tense-এ নিম্নবর্ণিত time marker ব্যবহার করা যায়।
this time tomorrow, this time next week, in the afternoon, next month, next week, next year etc.
Example:
- My mother will be cooking lunch this time tomorrow. – আমার মা কালকে এই সময় দুপুরের খাবার রান্না করতে থাকবে।
- I will be going to Dhaka this time next week. – আমি আগামী সপ্তাহে এই সময় ঢাকা যেতে থাকবো।
- They will be playing cricket in the afternoon. – তারা বিকেলে ক্রিকেট খেলতে থাকবে।
- He will be going to Dhaka next month. – আগামী মাসে তিনি ঢাকা যাবেন।
- I will be singing at a party next week. – আমি আগামী সপ্তাহে একটি পার্টিতে গান গাইব।
- He will be appearing at the SSC Examination next year. – সে আগামী বছর এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেবে।
অন্যান্য continuous tense-এর ন্যায় Future Perfect Continuous-ও Stative verb দ্বারা গঠন করা যায় না।
